Terms of Service

1. Service

FORENSICA provides structured narrative and framing analysis for text selected by the user in Google Docs™. The service presents Framing Intensity, Information Support, Structural Stability, accompanying explanations, and report workflows.

2. Account access

FORENSICA access is associated with the Google account used to install and run the add-on. Unit balance, settings, and Report Archive continuity apply at that account level across documents in Google Docs™ used by the same account.

3. Profiles, units, and paid subscriptions

SCOUT remains available at no charge. SCOUT includes five analysis units, and each completed SCOUT analysis uses one unit. The current balance is shown inside the add-on.

LOGIC, TRACE, and STRAT are available as recurring monthly subscriptions. The applicable profile, included units, tax-inclusive price, selected currency, and billing interval are shown in FORENSICA and/or Stripe-hosted checkout before payment is confirmed.

Paid transactions are processed by Stripe. Listed paid plan prices are tax-inclusive. Where tax applies, Stripe calculates it within the listed price rather than adding tax above that price. Stripe-hosted checkout shows the final amount before payment is confirmed.

A paid subscription remains billed in the currency selected for that subscription. A request to change subscription currency is handled through a controlled end-of-period migration or a new subscription rather than an in-place currency conversion.

Paid access and the included units for a paid subscription are activated or renewed only after FORENSICA receives and reconciles the confirmed payment event from Stripe. A browser success page alone does not grant paid entitlement.

A recurring paid profile renews according to the billing interval shown at checkout until cancelled through the billing-management controls made available for that profile; the effective timing of cancellation is shown in those controls. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

If you are a UK consumer, applicable consumer law provides a 14-day cooling-off right for qualifying distance contracts, subject to statutory rules and exceptions. You may communicate a cancellation request in a single message to support@forensicalabs.com. If you ask for a service to begin during the cooling-off period, statutory rules concerning services already supplied may apply.

Voluntary subscription refunds are available within 14 days only when the paid subscription remains completely unused and no paid analysis or paid-only service has been consumed. Cancellation alone does not automatically refund the current paid period. Statutory rights, duplicate charges, billing errors, and other mandatory remedies remain unaffected.

4. User-selected material

Users must have the rights and permissions needed to submit the selected material for analysis. Users retain their rights in the source material they submit.

5. Generated output

FORENSICA provides analytical materials to support document review and interpretation. Users remain responsible for examining the underlying material, reading the three indices together, considering purpose, audience, and context, and deciding how to use the output.

Subject to rights in the underlying material and applicable law, users may use reports generated for their own document, teaching, research, communication, and review workflows.

6. Report Archive, Append Report, and Export Report

Successful analyses may be retained in the FORENSICA Report Archive in Google Drive™. Append Report adds the report to the active document in Google Docs™. Export Report creates a separate readable document in Google Docs™. Users are responsible for managing report files and access permissions within their Google Drive™ environment.

7. Responsible use

Users must use FORENSICA lawfully, respect the rights of others, and submit only material they are authorized to process. Users must not attempt to interfere with the service, bypass access controls, consume service capacity through automated misuse, or present FORENSICA output as an official certification.

8. Service availability

FORENSICA may update, maintain, expand, limit, or discontinue service features as the product develops. Temporary interruptions may occur during maintenance, provider outages, or service updates.

9. Suspension and termination

Users may stop using FORENSICA by uninstalling the add-on. FORENSICA may suspend or end access when needed to protect the service, respond to unlawful use, address repeated misuse, comply with applicable obligations, or maintain service integrity.

10. FORENSICA materials

The FORENSICA name, logo, interface, website, software, documentation, and original product materials remain the property of their applicable rights holders. These Terms do not grant ownership of those materials.

11. Service limitations

FORENSICA is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Ekoland Europe s.r.o. does not accept responsibility for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from use of the service or reliance on generated output.

12. Changes to these Terms

FORENSICA may update these Terms as the service develops. Continued use after an updated version becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
